Restaurants in Armani Hotel Dubai
The world’s first Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building by Emaar Properties in Dubai, offers guests and visitors a wide choice of culinary options that reflect the cosmopolitan nature of the city.
A stellar feature of the F&B choices at Armani Hotel Dubai is the impressive views they offer of Downtown Dubai and the city. The hotel, a collaboration of Giorgio Armani S.p.A and Emaar, opened today (April 27, 2010), and occupies floors concourse to eight, and levels 38 & 39 of Burj Khalifa.
Like the rest of the hotel, the restaurants have also been personally designed by Giorgio Armani. All the outlets are by reservation only and offer a mix of modern and traditional food concepts.
Mr Marc Dardenne, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Hotels & Resorts, said: “The eight restaurants in Armani Hotel Dubai offer refreshingly different experiences for visitors. There are three distinctive features for all the outlets; one is the design elegance that reflect the aesthetics of Giorgio Armani; two, the spectacular views offered of The Dubai Fountain, Downtown Dubai and the city; and three, the service and quality standards set by our professionals.”
Giorgio Armani
• Born in Piacenza, Italy in 1934, he studied medicine and photography before completing military service
•In 1974, Armani launched his menswear label – his first womenswear collection following a year later
• Giorgio Armani was cemented in the public imagination for dressing Richard Gere in American Gigolo in 1980
Armani masterminded his own soft-shouldered suit silhouette that remains a staple of today’s designs. Another renaissance man, his designs retain their popularity and aged elegance.
In the early days he talked of England being important to him: “It was virtually the most important centre for inspiration,” he says. “I remember seeing some yellow cardigans in a small boutique and everyone thought I was insane. Yellow cardigans were what the Duke of Windsor was about, they were not something for the average man.
The entire idea of such clothing was so outré, so elitist… Very, very English.”
