Universal College of Learning-trained Dwayne Cheer is literally the world's top chef. He is Executive Chef at the exclusive 'At.mosphere' restaurant in Dubai, the highest restaurant in the world, 422 metres above the earth on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world. At At.mosphere, Dwayne's responsibilities include creating menus and leading a team of 24 chefs.
Jiabao visits Burj Khalifa, Dragon Mart
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has toured Burj Khalifa and other tourist and business areas in Dubai. He climbed to the 124th floor in Khalifa Burj, where he viewed the landmarks of Dubai City, expressing his admiration about the progress of the UAE in general and Dubai in particular, thanks to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Big names on block in charity auction
A Picasso painting, a date with the film star Scarlett Johansson and a private yoga class with the actor Alec Baldwin will be auctioned for charity tomorrow. The auction will be held at the Armani Hotel in the Burj Khalifa as part of the Dubai International Film Festival to raise funds for projects led by Oxfam GB and Dubai Cares in areas including Yemen and the Palestinian territories.
Mohammed and Cruise light up Dubai Film Festival’s red carpet
Mayhem ensued as Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise walked the red carpet during Wednesday evening’s open ceremony for the 8th edition Dubai International Film Festival. However, it has to be said that even more than Cruise himself, it was the cheers that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, drew when he walked the red carpet that really made the night for many of the excited fans.

But although Tom Cruise's antics on the Burj Khalifa might - quite understandably - be the headline grabbers, the Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol shoot in Dubai didn't simply revolve around one, rather impressively reckless Hollywood A-lister.

Tycoon says no plans to sell Burj Khalifa party pad
The CEO of NMC Group, the UAE-based healthcare provider, said he has no plans to sell his Burj Khalifa apartments while Dubai’s real estate market remains uncertain. Multimillionaire entrepreneur BR Shetty paid AED45m ($12.7) for two floors of the world’s tallest tower, including the 100th floor, but said he mainly uses the space to host parties.
