Emaar Hospitality Group, the hospitality & leisure subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC, hosted a UAE Career Fair to showcase the job opportunities within the Group for UAE Nationals at The Palace – The Old Town in Downtown Dubai.
The event which follow the dictates of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Rule of Dubai, to invest in the training and qualifying of Emirati human capital was attended by more than 160 aspiring candidates across the entire spectrum of various industries. They were briefed on various job opportunities and provided an overview of Emaar Hospitality Group, its various hotels and operational philosophy.
The Career Fair was a follow up to the DTCM Career Fair that was held in March 2010 in which Emaar Hospitality had partnered with DTCM to showcase the company and this provided Emaar Hospitality Group with the right platform to build its database of professionals keen on exploring opportunities within the Group.
The Career Fair featured two segments; in the first, Hamad Eghdani, Senior Government Relations and Emiratisation Manager at Emaar Hospitality Group, discussed upcoming career opportunities and presented an overview of the company at large. In the second session, various department heads of Emaar Hospitality Group were available to meet and discuss the various opportunities within their department with explanations on job roles thus assisting aspiring candidates to make an informed choice should they choose to join that department.

The career fair was supported by Emirates Academy and representatives of DTCM & TANMIA. Several candidates were shortlisted, who will be recruited into suitable roles and will join their properties after a four-week foundation course in hospitality which will be conducted at Emirates Academy.
