Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Dubai celebrates the first of four new dining experiences to open in the breath-taking Tower Two. Toro Toro (meaning bull) is an all new dining concept developed by internationally acclaimed, Latin American Chef Richard Sandoval. The restaurant offers varied dining experiences that span over two floors on the marina’s edge.
The first Pan Latin restaurant and lounge of its kind in the UAE, Toro Toro features flavors from across South America including; Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Colombia.
Commenting on this new opening Richard Sandoval said: “Toro Toro’s unique concept and menu pays homage to the warmth of Latin American hospitality and the tradition of lively, family-style dining. We have developed a menu that combines flavours from every corner of South America and every guest will find dishes that they have never even heard of before. Toro Toro will be a culinary education for all and I look forward to sharing the rich and diverse specialties South America has to offer.”
Complex General Manager of Grosvenor House Dubai and Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort and Spa Pam Wilby added “It is with great enthusiasm that we launch yet another venture in partnership with Richard Sandoval. Following on the heels of our first successful collaboration, the popular Mexican restaurant Maya by Richard Sandoval at Le Royal Méridien, we are very pleased to be launching Toro Toro.
It is the first of its kind in the UAE and we have invested heavily in creating a contemporary South American experience unlike anything currently on offer; from the striking décor with theatrical entrance, burnt orange tones, a dramatic centerpiece floor-to-ceiling fireplace, and unique menu to the South American team we have employed from Peru, Argentina and beyond.”
Toro Toro offers visitors a stylish yet relaxed dining experience. The menu, which offers small plates made for sharing, showcases South American traditional dishes. Diners are encouraged to sample a variety of small plates with friends, family and colleagues.
The star of the menu is a refined take on the traditional Churrasco grill. Premium cuts of meat, prepared by highly skilled passadors are presented to diners at the table before the meat is perfectly sliced onto a sizzling hot plate, ready to enjoy.
The ground floor of Toro Toro is dedicated to dining with a central open kitchen framed by a striking orange Onyx wall. Grand tables are lined with high backed, animal motif-clad furnishings and walls are adorned with dark wrought iron bars which form intimate areas, perfect for larger groups and private parties.
The focal point of the upper floor is a lively bar complete with a centrally positioned DJ, playing modern South American inspired beats. This area is ideal for groups who wish to sit back and enjoy freshly rolled cigars and learn about the various South American beverage specialities from Toro Toro’s very own experts.
