Ramada Downtown Dubai, located in Dubai’s most prestigious and vibrant district, The Downtown, announces the appointment of its new management team headed by Dipak Paul as General Manager and Wael El Behi as Executive Assistant Manager.
Dipak Paul has over three decades of hospitality experience and has worked for leading international hotel brands. An Indian national, he has worked in India, Kenya, Nepal, Singapore and the Middle East, holding General Manager Positions with Starwood and IHG. He joined Ramada Downtown Dubai in November 2010 after spending 3 years in Nairobi where he opened Crown Plaza Hotel being involved from the project stage.
Wael El Behi has nearly two decades of experience in sales, marketing and operations in luxury hotel brands. He was with Coral Hotels & Resorts where he held several managerial positions including Executive Assistant Manager of Coral Deira Dubai, General Manager of Coral Boutique Villas and Regional Director of Sales & Marketing. He moved in 2009 to open Suha Hotel Apartments as General Manager and then with Auris Hotel Management as Director Business Development in March 2010 before joining Ramada Downtown Dubai in June 2011. He will be instrumental in positioning Ramada Downtown Dubai as a preferred hotel in downtown area.
“Our objective is to position Ramada Downtown Dubai as a leading deluxe hotel apartment in the market place. Our culture is to operate with customer oriented business approach and we will empower our associates to take decision and make the difference in our operation,” said Mr. El Behi.
He added that the team will capitalize on the property’s prime location to win new business. “Our strategy is to target new business segments such as corporate, diplomatic sector, groups and exhibitions. We want to be more proactive and visible in the market place through our efficient PR and marketing strategy.”
Ramada Downtown Dubai offers a sprawling urban environment and convenient access to Dubai’s splendors such as Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building; Dubai Mall, the biggest shopping mall of the world and the Dubai Fountain. It is close to the city’s financial districts such as Dubai International Exhibition Center and the Dubai International Financial Center.
