Meet the Agneepath team in Dubai

Giorgio’s hotel a fashion statement
On a bright autumn day in Milan last month, Giorgio Armani spent hours walking around a hotel, meticulously inspecting every last detail. The first Armani hotel opened last year in the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, in Dubai. But Mr Armani says he feels much more of an “emotional” connection with the Milan property.

This Armani Hotel is the second in the Armani Hotel chain, the collaboration between Giorgio Armani and Emaar Properties (one of the Arab world’s largest developers) opened another Armani Hotel in Dubai in the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa last year.

Following the success of the Armani Hotel Dubai, located in Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, the Armani Hotel Milano opens in the heart of the city, within the extraordinary palazzo at Via Manzoni 31, originally designed by Enrico A. Griffini and completed in 1937 in the rationalist style of the time.

Following the opening of the Armani Hotel Dubai – located in Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building – the 95-room Milan hotel aims to continue Armani’s commitment to create a atmosphere conducive to “work, relaxation and pleasure”. As such, the hotel boasts a business centre, with conference rooms and IT facilities; a seventh-floor glass restaurant with views of the Duomo; and a eight-floor, panoramic beauty and treatment centre, gym and pool.

Dubai’s new hotel rating system to acknowledge budget boom
Under the new ratings, five-star hotels will have three categories – Platinum, Gold and Silver. The criteria for other hotels categories, ranging from four- to one-star properties, have also been overhauled. Hotel apartments will now be rated in three categories (Basic, Standard and Deluxe) instead of two.
