In Dubai, there are several high-end, luxury hotels that have forgone the Cristal to comply with Shariah. Unrest boosts tourism in more stable Gulf states

“Dubai has benefitted drastically, with high occupancy rates, more tourists, and high retail numbers, because your average Arab who used to go to …Jordan , Syria or Lebanon, or to Egypt find these countries suffering from unrest,” said Mahdi Mattar, chief economist at Abu Dhabi-based CAPM Investment.

He took off his shoes and left a diary near by before climbing out of an air vent on the 148th floor, Bur Dubai Police Station Chief Col Ali Ghanim said.
