Dubai’s Burj Khalifa to Reopen Feb. 14 After Viewing Deck Shuts
Burj Khalifia, the world’s tallest tower, will reopen on Feb. 14 following the closure of its 124th- floor observation deck, according to ticket sellers for the Dubai attraction. Ambulances were sent to the tower on Feb. 6 to treat 12 people who had been stranded in a stalled elevator and “dozens” of others who had been trapped on the observation platform, according to Fahad Al Zarouni, deputy director of operations at Dubai’s Center for Ambulance Services. None were hospitalized.

DTCM team inspect Armani Hotel Dubai in Burj Khalifa
A team from Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) went on an inspection tour of Armani Hotel Dubai in Burj Khalifa on Monday ahead of the luxury property’s scheduled opening in March. Giorgio Armani’s first hotel is set to open on March 18 in the new Burj Dubai tower, but visitors to the exclusive desert state getaway will need a head for heights to enjoyed the Armani-designed interior – since the tower is the world’s new tallest building. The height of the building is still to be officially confirmed but it is thought it measures over 800 metres – more than half a mile – and will have more than 160 floors.
