Armani hotel in Dubai
The eagerly awaited grand unveiling of Armani Hotels’ first venture is set to take place this week: a 39-floor, five-star hotel housed in the Burj Khalifa. With 160 guest rooms and suites and 144 residential apartments, it’s no small venture. The launch itself is shrouded in secrecy, but, as with any opening in this city, the press, both here and internationally, will be quick to pass judgment as soon as they get a peek inside.

Armani will also be the first new hotel in the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, which has established itself as a place for celebrity-studded functions and guests. The Armani fashion designer hotel, a relatively new branding exercise, will see Armani launching into the hospitality industry on the success of clothes retailing.

Emaar revives plans to develop hotels in India
In the same interview, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties, was also quoted as saying: “We are very bullish on the India market for our hospitality business and together with our partner, are in the process of identifying a viable site to launch Armani hotels.”
