Asado wins BBC food award
Asado, Argentinean Grill at The Palace – The Old Town in Dubai was recently acknowledged as the best Latin American restaurant at the BBC Good Food ME Awards. Asado serves premium meat cuts prepared Asado Criollo-style on an open Parrilla grill in the centre of the restaurant, a statement said.
UAE’s top culinary talent battle it out to become ‘MasterChef’
After an intense first round, four teams of the best, young culinary talent from leading hotels across the UAE will compete in the final of the Anchor MasterChef Challenge title later this week (15 February). China plans Burj Khalifa copy
Saudi Arabia will help China build a $1.3bn luxury hotel modelled on Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, according to newspaper reports from Beijing. The People’s Daily Online quoted a senior official as saying that graphics and planning of the ‘seven-star’ hotel had already been completed.
