Incoming coach Ivan Hasek has reiterated that hard work and team spirit will be the two elements that will determine his second reign with five-time champions Al Ahli. “My aim is to ensure this aspect creeps in first, whether it is the stars in the team or the substitutes or the foreign players…all need to have this one single goal,” the 47-year-old Hasek added.

Emirates Offers Benefits for First and Business Class

Emirates is now offering exclusive deals, including free nights at select hotels for First Class and Business Class customers flying between now and June 30, via its U.S. gateways in Los Angeles (LAX) and Houston (IAH). Emirates will award First Class travelers a two-night stay at either the Armani Hotel, in Burj Khalifa, or the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, on Palm Island. Business Class travelers will receive a one-night stay at either The Address Dubai Marina or the Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

One of the world’s largest interiors contractors has launched a UK operation based in Middlesbrough. The contractor is renown for completing the interior design and fit-out of famous landmarks including the world’s tallest building, the 828 metre Burj Khalifa hotel in Dubai, and the Four Seasons hotel in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt.

Giorgio Armani, the man behind one of the world’s biggest fashion chains, is in talks with advisers over funding to build his first hotel in Britain. He opened his first hotel in Dubai in collaboration with Emaar Properties in April last year and has a hotel in Milan. The two companies are working together on possible expansion in Paris, New York, Tokyo and Shanghai.

$6bn hotel projects seen in Middle East by 2013

More than $6bn worth of hotel projects are due for completion in the Middle East by 2013 but greater emphasis is being put on sustainability, an industry expert said on Sunday. The Hotel Show will place at the Dubai World Trade Centre on May 17-19, with 400 exhibitors representing 25 countries.
