Gulf Finance, a UAE based boutique finance company, believes that the 3rd Arabian Business Forum held recently at the Armani Hotel, Dubai, served as the perfect platform for the regional business community to discuss new market opportunities even as the economy steadily recovers from the consequences of the global financial crisis.

Gulf Finance, a key sponsor of this year’s forum, has further underlined the significance of the event in helping regional companies chart out a fresh business approach that is aligned with the new market dynamics.

“From a business point of view, the past year or two have been uncertain and challenging for most companies. However, all economic indicators today point towards market stabilisation and a steady process of recovery has certainly begun. Given this scenario, the 3rd Arabian Business Forum provided an excellent platform to discuss the actual state of the economy, delve on the lessons learnt from the downturn and focus on the best way forward. We are delighted to be a key sponsor of the event which proved highly fruitful and rewarding for the regional business community as a whole,” said Steve Williams, CEO of Gulf Finance.

Arabian Business Forum is being held under the patronage of H.E Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Airline. The 3rd Arabian Business Forum featured key note speeches from some of the region’s biggest business leaders, including Emaar Chairman Mohammed Alabbar, Alshaya Group chief Mohammed Alshaya, Al Fajer Group CEO H.E. Sheikh Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, and former DIFC chairman Dr Habib Al Mulla.

The event focused on the key economic issues of the day, and also included a specialist debate on “The State of the Nation.” A number of expert panelists have also participated, including Accenture Middle East Managing Director Omar Boulos, American Express Middle East CEO William Keliehor, Crescent Petroleum Executive Director Badr Jafar and Omnicom Media Group MENA CEO Elie Khouri. The forum was hosted by BBC broadcaster Andrew Neil, also chairman of ITP Group.
