The development of the tower is being managed by Emaar Properties PJSC, the United Arab Emirates’ biggest real-estate company by market value, the newspaper said, citing the official. Emaar is the developer of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, currently the world’s tallest tower and which the Kingdom Tower will overtake.
Leeds Met University tower voted ‘world’s best’
It beat off Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, at a ceremony organised by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). Broadcasting Place, on Woodhouse Lane, was shortlisted for the award after being voted Europe's best tall building by the CTBUH in June.

Copenhagen’s BIG Architects Complete 8 House Landmark Residential Project
Buildings that end up in the Guinness Book of Records are standard in the UAE. They come in all shapes and sizes from the world's tallest tower, Emaar's Burj Khalifa in Dubai, to the world's roundest office building, Aldar's circular HQ in Abu Dhabi, and "iconic" is the default description for every major new project.

CN Tower still No. 2 after Chicago spire plans fall short
The 2008 global financial crisis is widely believed to have undermined the 124-story, 1,200-unit project — and, in effect, given the CN Tower an extended lease on hemispheric bragging rights. Until Dubai's 828-metre Burj Khalifa was completed in January, the CN Tower had reigned for more than three decades atop the world's list of super-tall architectural creations. (Technically, when the still-under-construction Burj hit 554 metres in September 2007, the Toronto tower surrendered the title it had held since its completion in 1976.)
Eclipse produces Armani event in style

Situated in the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, the Pavillion is an open air facility at the foot of the tower, and overlooks the adjacent Dubai fountains. Eclipse provided audio visual equipment for the extravaganza, which was attended by 650 guests and was produced by Eclipse's Richard Scott and Armani's Geraldine Wong
High-rise apartments defenseless against fire
The 828-meter-high Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), currently the highest skyscraper in the world, also has state-of-the-art disaster prevention measures. The 160-story building has four safety zones on the 42nd, 75th, 111th and 138th floors. These shelters can accommodate up to 6,500 people and are designed to last for two hours after a fire has broken out.
Top 10 steel skyscrapers
Using Khan's Bundled Tube structural engineering principles, the building takes its strength from the combination of nine main structures arranged in a three by three grid that make up the impressive complex. It's a clever arrangement. All towers rise to 50-storeys, where the northeast and southwest buildings stop. The remaining seven towers continue to the 66th floor where the northeast and southwest structures end, and at 90-storeys, the north, south and east floors top out. The two remaining towers, the west and central towers, then stretch to 110 floors, the building's top. A similar system of bundled towers was used by SOM to construct the Burj Khalifa.
