Located in the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, the 160-room hotel is clad from bedhead to bar with Giorgio Armani-designed furnishings from the label's home collection. A total of four resorts and 10 Armani hotels are planned for the world's fashion capitals, including Milan (2010), London, Paris, New York and Tokyo.

UAE hotels offer hot summer promotions to tempt ‘staycationers’

Fashion designers turn to interiors
Not content with supermodels, catwalks and a roll call of rich and famous clients, these fashion designers are increasingly spreading their creative wings to include interior design projects for hotels – see Hotel Maison Moschino in Milan, the Missoni Hotel in Edinburgh or the Hotel Armani in Dubai - or even launching their own interiors collections.
The Armani club
The 160-room hotel, which opened in April in the designated Downtown Dubai district, is the first Armani property (others are in the pipeline; one in Milan is scheduled to open next) and occupies floors ground to eight and levels 38 and 39 of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa.
Gucci threat will not stop hotel
Elisabetta Gucci is determined to plough ahead with her first hotel in Dubai within the next nine months, despite legal action being taken against the daughter of the late Paolo Gucci by the famous fashion house.

Destinology is offering five nights at the five star Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai from £849 per adult and £279 per child (under 16yrs old). This price includes five nights’ accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, return private car transfers and return economy class flights with Qatar Airways from London via Doha.
Dubai beach hotel rates twice those of city locations
It added that the total hotel supply increased to around 46,000 rooms as of Q2 2010, up eight percent since the end of 2009, following the completion of projects including the Armani Hotel and the Sofitel and Movenpick hotel on Jumeirah Beach.
