Dubai-based Damac Properties has announced it is launching sales on its latest serviced living project in the Burj area of Dubai. Bay's Edge, a 22-storey tower offering views across to the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower, comprises a total of 220 units managed by the hospitality management company of Damac.

The Al Rostamani Group subsidiary’s work on the project will allow Emaar Properties to strengthen the power network at its Downtown Dubai development as demand increases due to the wave of recently-announced projects such as the Emaar Residences Sky View and the Emaar The Address The BLVD towers.

A short film posted by China-based Broad Sustainable Building (BSB) on Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat website shows the tower having a garden on the top most floor and open terraces, with the company dubbing the development as ‘One Building, One City, Sky City’.

“We launch the tower in the next six weeks. It will be 111-storey high and will be the second tallest tower on Sheikh Zayed Road after Burj Khalifa,” said Meydan Chairman Saeed Humaid Al Tayer. The tower will be located close to Radisson Royal Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.

The 835-square-metre hotel is part of a new birds market project of Dubai Municipality (DM) coming up in Al Warsan area. The hotel is expected to receive pets, mostly dogs and cats, of residents going abroad on holiday, said Maher Al Hawarenah, principal architecture design engineer at DM’s General Projects Department.
