Burj Khalifa to remain tallest tower in the world till 2017
Burj Khalifa, the 2,717-ft high tower, will continue to hold the title for the tallest building in the world, at least, till 2017. Quoting Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) Chairman Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Saudi newspapers have reported that the 1,000-metre high tall Kingdom Tower in Jeddah will be completed by mid-2017.

Oil revenues have already fuelled a high-profile construction frenzy in the former Soviet state of Azerbaijan, but in an attempt to raise its profile further, the Caspian Sea country is looking to build the tallest building in the world. Tentatively named Azerbaijan Tower, the planned 1,050 metre structure will dwarf Dubai’s Burj Khalifa to look over Baku’s largest development project which is planned to include dozens of artificial islands and a Formula One race track.

The Nabrman fashion show will be held in Atmosphere, on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, on 14 April. The restaurant sits at a height of over 442 metres and will play host to designs from Nabrman, a UAE-based fashion house led by Emirati entrepreneur Hend Al Mutawa, has been turning traditional Abayas high-end since it launched two years ago.

Burj Monument celebrates making of Burj Khalifa

Swedish artist’s works on show at Armani Hotel
Armani Hotel Dubai, in co-operation with Swiss Art Gate UAE, will host an art exhibition “UAE 40 – The Emirates Revisited,’ to coincide with Art Dubai, the premier art event in the city. Featuring oil and photography on canvas by Swedish artist Fabian Edelstam, “UAE 40 – The Emirates Revisited will open on March 19 at Armani/Ristorante in Armani Hotel Dubai, located in Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
