Another major Dubai Fountain makeover is coming soon – here’s what’s changing

One of Dubai’s most popular attractions is set for another major upgrade in the first half of this year.

Having closed for five months during 2025 to complete important maintenance work, Dubai Fountain is set for a revamp in the first half of 2026.

First announced by Emaar back in September, the world’s largest dancing fountain will see new elements and choreography introduced to the attraction by Q2 2026.

Phase two of the renovation will see the installation of new features, which will improve the overall show and aesthetics of the performing fountain.

Details on what exactly to expect are limited at the moment, with Emaar promising “brand-new surprises” in the coming months. The revamp will likely include advanced technology, improved choreography and an enhanced sound and lighting system.

It is unlikely that this stage of the redevelopment of the Dubai Fountain will require it to close down again, so you should be able to enjoy the daily shows while work is carried out. More
